about

This is a song about the tyranny of college applications. How are you supposed to come off as a knowledgeable, upright young scholar in a time in your life when the world barely makes sense, and you feel exceedingly worthless amongst your peers?

lyrics

Does the parable of life cease to be at certain times? When you warrant standard lines and boastful pleas present your fight. Would the prose of Socrates be such things of reverie if re-writ to you from me, or by a modernist of travesty? Tonight I'm all alone and I'm thinking of calling home. I think it'd be much faster to travel by the ways. I'm making up success and faking happiness. Just so you won't worry, I'd say anything at all. You speak to me with such deceit and invade my long-set dreams. O, apostrophe, commission me to be rather than seem. Well, I can't pay attention in my class. I'm a statuette behind the glass, and I have just no realized: I'm alive! Tonight I'm all alone, and I'm thinking of calling home. I think it'd be much faster to travel by the ways. I'm making up success and faking happiness. Just so you won't worry, I'd say anything at all. And life is just a game. I'm falling asleep. I don't want to play. And at times we change our minds. I'm giving luck one more try.
